Well…I’m only planning day 2 of OpenWorld and already I’ve pretty much given up on being able to see all the talks that I want to see The challenge for me will be trying to coax those people that are inside Oracle to give me a synopsis of their talk after the event. That is probably my best hope here.
In any event, if you’re a database person like me, here’s my tips for what I’ll be trying to sneak into on Tuesday.

Hi Connor,
I wonder if you could comment on this presentation: Zero Downtime Upgrade of Core Banking Systems with Edition-Based Redefinition [CAS4042]
Basically, I would like to ask about slide 21, which is page 19, titled:
Avaloq’s Editionable Table Definition: Simplicity and Referential Integrity
What exactly do they mean by “Own table definition source type”?
Is it some local DSL (Domain Specific Language) in Avaloq to describe their business entities which is used to generate database objects, such as tables, indexes, constraints, and views?
Regards,
Mikhail.
Can I suggest you reach out to Bryn Llewellyn on twitter – he gave the presentation, and knows EBR better than anyone.
