Planning for CloudWorld … Wednesday is the LAB extravaganza!

Wednesday is THE day at CloudWorld if you’re into hands-on experiences with the tools and products. It’s funny how the same people that like to criticise conferences for being “too much marketing” are the same ones that I never tend to see attending a hands-on lab.

Dom and Jenny will have their annual overview of the latest features in the Oracle Database. For the “big picture” or “10,000 ft view” of the directions for Oracle Database, this is a great session to jump into. If you’re more into the deep tech details, then scroll onwards for my session later.

One of things I’m “known” for in the Oracle community is giving presentations with hundreds of slides. So its time to get wwaaayyyyy out of the comfort zone, with a session that will be 100% demo. Not even an intro slide! We’re going to cover as many 23c features in rapid fire!

Lets jam pack the theatre area to really get the exhibition hall buzzing. If you’ve ever caught a local train in India, my aim is to have the session look just like that!

At 2pm is one of the main database keynotes for the conference. I’ve seen a prequel of some of the material in this session, and I highly recommend you book your spot.

As the day heads later into the afternoon, there is still a massive amount of cool content to check out. There’s an APEX panel I’m hoping to get to for two reasons: Firstly, to hear some customer stories about what their doing with our coolest tech, and secondly, to catch up with Monica Godoy who is one of the smartest and nicest APEX people you could ever hope to meet.
